Auto Logoff
| Spending your days kicking terminal server sessions off your shared servers? You'd like to GPO an automatic kick, but you can't set it aggressive enough to be useful without stopping people from running long processes. Autologoff.zip (download files below) contains 2 files: logoff60.exe will log out your current session 60 minutes after it starts. It has a countdown timer and last minute pop up warning. To cancel the logoff, just close the application at any time. Sure this still requires some honesty among users, but it's better than the alternative. Syntax: logoff60.exe will log off in 1 hour logoff.exe accepts a command option to specify how many minutes until logoff. It also has a countdown timer and last minute pop up warning. To cancel the logoff, close the application at any time. Syntax: logoff.exe 5 will log off in 5 minutes Syntax: logoff.exe 695 will log off in 695 minutes This app was written in the fabulous application Auto IT. Script source available by request. |
